Rocco is such a chatter box. He talks non-stop. And his vocabulary has grown leaps and bounds. Some of the things he says are just unbelievable. He is so fun at this age. It's my favorite stage (and yes, I know I've said that about every stage.)

Rocco and His Daddy

Our funny little boy
Rocco: Mama, I want bubble gum
Me: No, Rocco. Daddy just gave you some gum. You can get more gum after we eat supper.
Rocco: Daddy?
Jason: Yeah, baby.
Rocco: I want gum.
Jason: What did mommy say?
Rocco: (needing a different answer that what I gave him) What does daddy say?

I tell you he has a sense of humor like the gifted kids I teach. At supper tonight...
Rocco: S-T-O-P....Go! (erupts into laughter)

Happy Labor Day
As usual, we attended the annual Labor Day get-together at the Couey's house. All of Jason's closest high school friends/hunting crew were there. The most handsome one is mine (on the far right) ;).

Go DAWGS
College Football started today. Go DAWGS! Jason, Rocco, and I watched the game at Gary and Carolyn's house. Tonya and Ben were there, too. Rocco and I actually arrived around 3rd quarter.
All of the family are die hard Georgia fans. Today was a downer. We lost to Oklahoma State; better luck next week when we go up against South Carolina, especially since that's who a lot of our Town Creek friends are for. Honestly, I don't get into the game as much as Jason and his family. Sure I want us to win, but I don't find myself getting disgusted at the refs and yelling/clapping/going crazy when a big play is made. I've never been the athletic type to know all the technical rules. I just appreciate it when we score and when we win (especially against TN).
Rocco had a great time at nana and granddaddy's; Drew and Baby Sydney were there, and he just loves nana's house anyway. When Jason and Tonya got a little loud, Rocco didn't know how to take it. He just kept saying, "Mommy!" That's what he does when he gets upset. We just don't yell around our house. . . football season is a little different though. Jason just explained that during football games we get excited and it's alright. Without hesitating, Rocco replied by yelling, "Nana!" I guess he was telling on daddy. It was all pretty funny. He's just in training to be a future DAWG fan. In a couple years or so I'm sure he'll be on the couch getting rowdy with the rest of the family.
